BusMan to MarathonMan

25,000 people ran in the LA Marathon yesterday, and I was one of them. Why would anyone drive to that event? 25,000 people all trying to arrive at the same time in downtown LA. Yuck, what a lot of stress. So I picked up the Beverly bus half a block from my house, took it to the RedLine subway station at Beverly and Vermont, and a few minutes later I was at the starting line. No hassle, no worry about where to park or if I was going to be late. I left the house at the same time I would have left had I driven. And I had a great run.
